Empire Junior Hockey League

Letter From a Parent...

Coach Ryan Frew

Dear Coach Frew:

I wanted to take a minute to congratulate you and the NH Junior B Monarchs for an enormously successful year making the Empire Junior Hockey League playoffs. This is an extraordinary accomplishment for a first year team playing in such a demanding league.

As a parent of one of your players, I watched as you molded these kids into a cohesive team capable of competing with any team in the league. Wins were hard to come by at first but as you taught the kids your system and how to win, the team began to gain confidence and to take on an identity. The final stretch to the playoffs was fun to watch. The kids knew that they could beat any team in the league!

I saw Zach improve under your guidance both as a player and individual. I watched his confidence and leadership skills grow playing under you. I was impressed with your genuine concern for your player’s wellbeing, spending time off the ice talking to colleges and coaches on their behalf.

As Zach moves up to the next level of hockey, I am confident that he will have the tools necessary to succeed. We had many choices where to play at the beginning of this season. I assure you that playing for the Monarchs and especially you was the right decision.

Best wishes for many more successful seasons.

Sincerely,

Ray & Nancy Scienzo
